Attendance Workflow

A record and review process for worked time, absences and corrections to attendance entries.

Worked time can differ from the published schedule, and those differences need checking before they feed payroll or reporting. An attendance workflow gives supervisors a review process for missing entries and corrections. It suits businesses where raw time records exist but the approval history does not.

02

What it manages

Attendance records can contain dates, start and end times, breaks, work locations and correction reasons. The source may be staff entry or an agreed device. It is different from roster planning, which describes intended shifts rather than confirming the time actually worked.

03

How it works in a business

Staff or a device record an attendance event. Supervisors review missing or unusual entries and request corrections with a reason. Approved records are exported to the relevant workforce or payroll process, with original and corrected values retained where required.

04

What SFn can customise

SFn can define attendance sources, review rules and reporting periods. Device, roster and payroll connections depend on supported interfaces. Location tracking or biometric data is not assumed; any such requirement needs a specific access and data-handling design.
