Work Order Management

A system for assigning a specific job, recording the work done and confirming completion.

Service and maintenance teams need a clear account of what a worker was asked to do and what was completed. A work order connects the instruction, assignment and result. It is useful when messages or paper job sheets leave supervisors unable to check progress or incomplete work.

What it manages

Work orders can contain customer or site details, instructions, assigned staff, planned dates, materials and completion evidence. The emphasis is execution of a job, rather than sales tracking. Supervisors need to see both the planned work and exceptions that prevent completion.

03

How it works in a business

An approved request becomes a work order. The supervisor assigns a worker and schedule; the worker records progress, materials and evidence. Any incomplete step returns for action. A completed order is reviewed before the job is closed or passed to billing.

04

What SFn can customise

SFn can configure work types, status rules and completion checklists. Scheduling, inventory or billing connections can be added where needed. Field use may require mobile forms or offline behaviour, which must be agreed and tested separately.
