New-Starter Portal

An access area where joining employees can find induction information and complete their permitted onboarding steps.

A joining employee needs a clear account of what to read and provide before beginning work. A portal presents those permitted steps without exposing the internal HR workspace. It is useful when onboarding instructions otherwise arrive through several unrelated emails and attachments.

02

What it manages

It can show a joining checklist, introductory material, forms and progress. The portal is the employee-facing part of onboarding; HR and IT retain separate internal tasks. Sensitive information should be collected only through the fields and access controls needed for the agreed process.

03

How it works in a business

The new employee receives an invitation and completes the assigned steps. Staff review the supplied information and prepare equipment or accounts in the internal onboarding workflow. The portal shows what remains outstanding and provides the approved first-day guidance.

04

What SFn can customise

SFn can configure joining plans, invitation expiry and employee-visible fields. Onboarding and directory systems can connect where supported. Access before the joining date, withdrawn offers and private document handling need tests rather than assuming every invite becomes an active employee.
